Kitchen Improvements

Friday, March 21st, 2008

Before I go on that trip to Mexico I was telling you guys about, I thought I’d make some improvements around the house. Laborers and parts manufacturers are giving out their best deals in years just to be able to do business. That’s why I thought it’d be a good time to get new kitchen faucets installed. That way, I can have them gleaming in the window so intruders will come in and activate my home monitoring. Then, I can watch them go to jail! I love having money in the down economy.

Home Security

Friday, March 21st, 2008

As a member of the upper middle-class, there are things I have to worry about, such as home invasion. My luxury vase collection could fetch hundreds if stolen. I already have the classic barbed wire fences and alarm systems, but these don’t set my mind at ease enough. The Desert Eagle under my pillow helps, and so does alarm system monitoring. That way whenever I leave I can keep an eye on my house. Anything to sleep soundly.

Life Insurance…

Friday, March 21st, 2008

I keep getting these letters in the mail from various life insurance policies I hold, telling me about how I can get increased coverage if I pay a little more every month. Maybe this is a good idea for some, but I already have half a million dollars on my life, so I think my funeral will be paid for and then some. Besides, who gets insurance out of the mail anymore? Nowadays, you can go online and get a term life insurance quote just like that.

Digital Signs

Friday, March 21st, 2008

When I first got into the law business around 20 years ago, the marketing of our firm was very limited. There was the phone book and there was billboards. Neither one was particularly effective and each accounted for about 10% of our leads. Nowadays, everything s digital and much more efficient. Not only is digital signage cheaper, it’s also more reliable and more far-reaching.

Navy Watch

Friday, March 21st, 2008

When May rolls around, I will have a month’s worth of vacation time and I am looking forward to it! I plan to go to Mexico to see a few cultural sites, as well as spend time on the other side of the Gulf fishing and snorkeling. They say not to drink the water in Mexico, but I assume swimming in it is alright. I just went to the department store to pick up a new Technomarine watch to wear on my wrist during the diving.

Scranton

Saturday, March 8th, 2008

One of my beloved clients recently moved to the Scranton area. I had been her only lawyer since 1998, so we have had a lot of time to discuss many things. She is a woman of culture and class with a supreme sense of morality. I sure will miss her, as she was one of my nicest clients, the kind who sends a gift basket every Christmas. I recommended a good Scranton personal injury lawyer to her and wished her good luck.

Dependability

Saturday, March 8th, 2008

In case you guys didn’t know, I write this blog about law from the comfort of my living room most of the time, on my laptop computer. I used to trust only desktop models because of the unreliability of wireless internet. Ever since I discovered the Linksys router, that has all changed. As long as COmcast keeps the signal on, Linksys is transmitting it flawlessly throughout my house.

Road Trip

Saturday, March 8th, 2008

As you can imagine, lawyers spend a lot of time on thr road and away from home. After graduation, I was weary of spending a lot of money on luggage. In fact, my first few years I used the same suitcase I had since my freshman year in high school. I soon found out that investing in new luggage would not be a bad idea and would help me out in the long run. Boy, was I right.

Cousin Woes

Thursday, March 6th, 2008

My cousin was always a partier, but I never thought he’d have to end up in drug rehab. The consensus around my family was that one day he would stop all the drinking and smoking and end up a good person, that one day he would hit rock bottom and finally get help for himself. I guess that day has come and passed because he recently checked in. Here’s to hoping he can get his life back on track.

Crib

Thursday, March 6th, 2008

One of my friends from high school is having a baby. Of course she set up a gift registry at a local retailer, so I went down there to see what is is she needs. One of the items she highlighted was an Emily crib. I am not well versed in baby supplies, so the brand name Emily really stood out to me. I took a look at the models featured, and I was impressed by the quality craftsmanship. There won’t be worrying about replacement with an Emily crib.
