Baseball

Tuesday, April 22nd, 2008

Did anyone see the baseball game on Fox Sports last night? It was a pretty good game. I don’t get to watch baseball as much as I’d like, but I actually had a few minutes to spare last night. The starting pitcher was particularly impressive. I think his name was Chad Orovo. He appeared to throw only two pitches, a fastball and changeup. However, his execution was flawless. Reminded me of Maddux back in the day.

Massage Therapy

Tuesday, April 22nd, 2008

It seems like there are a ton of massage therapy schools popping up everywhere. My uncle is enrolled in one, although he is going for radiation tech. I guess I have no problem with such schools, just some of them are unaccredited. If you plan to go to such an establishment, you can’t sue them later so check their credentials now!

NC Vacation

Tuesday, April 22nd, 2008

Vacation time is nearly upon us! Here in Florida, business is dwindling. Most of the snowbirds are headed north and the economy is in a downturn. Luckily for us, people are always looking for a good lawsuit. The insurance companies will always be an easy target that iI love to get even with. Anyway, I am still deciding on a vacation plan. I was thinking of going to the Great Smoky Mountains and eventually out to the Outer Banks of North Carolina.

Financial Time

Tuesday, April 22nd, 2008

The law firm that I work at has recently taken action to improve the level of financial reporting. Last year was a very lucrative year, the first year in the black from what I understand. Apparently, we are going to hire on someone full time to take care of the financial matters just to stay straight with the IRS and other agencies.

Exercise Time

Saturday, April 12th, 2008

I am still looking for some new fitness equipment. I have let my gym membership lapse. Sure, I have a bunch of those gimmicky products you see on TV all the time.I bet I have about three ab rollers, one of those Gazelles, and even those thigh crunchers that were popular in the nineties. Any help anyone has to offer would be much appreciated! I am thinking about the total gym.

Evidence Bash

Saturday, April 12th, 2008

There is no doubt how much magnifiers have made an impact on the world of crime and justice. Not to mention the advances in DNA, now one can be locked away for life or released from prison over a single strand of hair. One case I had comes to mind, I was trying to free my innocent client. The black hairs found in a duffel bag couldn’t have been his - you know why? Because they were dog hairs! My client was free and clear and got out of prison then began a suit against the state.

Bank Accounts

Saturday, April 12th, 2008

Back when I was in high school, I opened my very first bank account. It was just a checking account complete with a $500 spending limit credit card. I started getting more and more money from my grocery store job and needed a dependable place to put it. I have the same basic problems these days, just on a larger scale. I have discovered that one should keep as much money as possible in savings account in order to reap the interest benefits.

New Book

Saturday, April 12th, 2008

If you remember, there was a lot of turmoil over in Pakistan a few months ago, especially after the assassination of their former Prime Minister. She was a woman of peace and left an amazing legacy that we can all look up to. Before she was murdered, she penned a book about how to bridge the gap between the western world and the world dominated by Islamic thought. I don’t think it’s on Oprah’s list, but if you are interested in world affairs and diplomacy, I recommend you check out Reconciliation: Islam, Democracy and the Westy by Benazir Bhutto.

Maids

Saturday, April 12th, 2008

Whenever I go on vacation, I hire a crew of maids to keep my house clean. You;d figure with no one living there, it would stay relatively clean, but that’s not the case at all.I have an enormous dust problem. If I let it stagnate for a few weeks I come home to my things being covered in a fine coat of dust. That is why I get these people to come in. They aren’t all that expensive, they are dependable and they use microfiber mops to get every little bit up.

High School

Saturday, April 5th, 2008

It sure has been a long time since I was in high school. Most of my friends from high school are long gone, married with kids of their own. I can remember distinctly as I was in law school always getting these invitations to go to my girlfriend’s baby showers. I never really had any intentions of having kids for myself so I was always clueless as to what constitutes baby gifts. That is why I’m thankful they have gift registries so I know what they can use.
