Maids

Saturday, April 12th, 2008

Whenever I go on vacation, I hire a crew of maids to keep my house clean. You;d figure with no one living there, it would stay relatively clean, but that’s not the case at all.I have an enormous dust problem. If I let it stagnate for a few weeks I come home to my things being covered in a fine coat of dust. That is why I get these people to come in. They aren’t all that expensive, they are dependable and they use microfiber mops to get every little bit up.

Vacation Time

Saturday, April 5th, 2008

Well, every July I get to take a three week vacation. Usually I end up staying at home catching up on all the movies I missed out on, but this year I have been looking to take luxury vacations. After all, I have made a great deal of money this year but it has been highly stressful I can imagine relaxing at a distant spa. All my coworkers are encouraging me to take care of myself because I deserve it. I am just not sure if that’s a good sign or not.

Lingerie

Sunday, February 24th, 2008

In my field of work, the opportunity to see sexy lingerie rarely comes around. In fact, I think I’d probably be kicked out of the court room for even bringing the topic up. However, my fellow female peers are known for taking great pride in the underwear they have. Personally, I don’t care what goes on underneath the suit and tie. I figure I will never be stripped in the court room, so I never worry about it. The ladies however take a different approach, just in case that should happen they are prepared with great underwear.

CNN Health

Saturday, February 9th, 2008

I got up early this morning to catch up on the events of the world. As usual, CNN wasn’t running a news reel, only a segment on health care. I learned something about political views and genes. Apparently, it was once thought that political viws were derived completely from environment, but now thy think it’s also partially genetic. I also learned about medicare advantage for older folks.

Annoying Internet

Friday, January 4th, 2008

Does anybody remember the national do not call registry the government set up a few years ago? It really went a long way towards eliminating unwanted phone calls. I mean, I still get annoying phone calls, but the difference is definitely felt. I wish someone would do the same thing when it comes to the internet and popup ads. I am tired of going to a website and accidentally clicking on an annoying ad, delaying me. There should be a government run popup blocker to increase productivity.

Rehab vs Jail

Tuesday, December 4th, 2007

I sometimes wonder why our prisons in America are filled to the brim. Murders haven’t really gone up, nor has any other harmful crime. The majority of inmates nowadays are nonviolent drug offenders! I don’t think jail is the right place for someone with a drug problem in most cases. If you are a drug dealer, sure. However, if you are simply an addict, drug rehab is a more suitable option than going to jail - plus it costs taxpayers less money!

Catered Food

Friday, November 16th, 2007

In a few weeks, I am hosting an anniversary party for all my coworkers at this nice place in the park. There will be games for everyone to enjoy and the food will be catered from a place that makes the best barbecue in the world on a billet grille. I sure hope everyone has a good time, as there will be plenty of sports activities to take part in. I sure hope everyone has a good time.

Windbag

Tuesday, October 23rd, 2007

As a non-partisan law website, I will give time to any windbag that has something to say about the issue of law. This week, we have a high ranking hack in Justice Antonin Scalia.

Epitome of Unprofessionalism

Tuesday, October 16th, 2007

This is a clip I found on YouTube featuring the People’s Court. I know, the TV court shows, again. I just think it gives an interesting glimpse into how the public perceives real courtroom proceedings. You will see both the judge and the litigant being disrespectful and unprofessional, making me sick to my stomach.
