Reading Judge
About four weeks ago, I was working on a property tax case at the state capitol. There was some controversial lines of questioning to the witness by the district attorney, so I requested a visit to the Judge’s chambers during the recess. When I was there, we got the problem resolved relatively quickly. However, I couldn’t help but notice his large collection of books. It went beyond the normal law manuals. This guy had all kinds of classic literature, a library from his office. He told me I could borrow anything I wanted, but had to bring it back or risk contempt of court! I think I’ll stick to the library and their nickel a day fees!
