Jewelry in Court
I try to avoid wearing gaudy jewelry as much as possible. Lawyers always carry around the assumption that they live rich and opulent lives. Though I live comfortably, I don’t have a great deal of money to throw away on trivial things. I bought a car and a modest two story house for my family. The only pieces of jewelry I put on are a wedding ring and a nice little gold bangle my great grandmother originally owned, as a homage to her important in my life. Other than that, I avoid any signs of wealth. I don’t want my clients thinking of me as a rich and aloof person, because I’m not!
