Aqua Teen Advertising Lands Two in Hot Water
Advertising for the upcoming Aqua Teen Hunger Force movie went off without a hitch in many major US cities. It is hard to describe, but it basically was a Lite-Brite type image of one of the pixelated characters of the show giving the finger. Authorites in most towns saw no threat, and took the strange ads down without a question. However, in the city of Boston, two men are facing jail time for placing these devices. Police took the pixelated cartoon as a serious threat, locked down parts of the city, and are trying to justify their horrible misjudgment by charging the men. Now, this wasn’t the greatest advertising scheme ever, but you must admit they are getting 50 times as much publicity thanks to this story breaking.
